![]() This is one of my favorite workouts because it’s so challenging. Tony Horton does throw in a few other back exercises using dumbbells, which rounds out the back workouts and allows you to build up some muscle so you can do some more pull-ups on the next go-around. It’s fairly basic workout, alternating push-ups and pull-ups over and over again for about an hour. It is hands-down the most difficult workout for me in the series. ![]() ![]() Chest and Back is traditionally the first workout in the series, and it’s an intense and deceptively difficult workout. Today I started incorporating P90X, so I started with Chest and Back. The first three weeks of my training program are similar to the first three weeks of P90X, except I’m swapping Plyometrics, Yoga, and Kenpo for running fartleks, speed work and distance runs, as well as some circuit training in the evenings when I’m working out with my wife. I hope to give a more familiar and experienced perspective on the programs as I use them. Most of the reviews I read online are from people who are trying the workouts for the first time, and are giving their initial impression. I’ve completed the basic program twice (as well as used the discs in my own programs dozens of times) and I made it through about 2/3rds of P90X+. P90X is an integral part of my workout regiment.
